The UMSL College of Business Administration is accredited by the world’s premier business school accrediting organization, the AACSB (Association to Advance College Schools of Business) in both business and accounting; less than 2% of business schools worldwide have achieved this dual accreditation. The Princeton Review ranks us in the top 3% of business schools in the nation. U.S. News and World Report continues to rank our international business program among America’s top 20 – for 14 years running. Our graduate business program is ranked by Military Times among the top 25 “Best for Vets” programs. And, the National Security Agency (NSA) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) have designated our cybersecurity program as a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education (CAE-CD), making UMSL one of only two institutions in Missouri with this designation.
UMSL Business Always Growing
For more than 50 years UMSL Business has educated the business professionals of St. Louis and the region. UMSL graduates make up more of the St. Louis workforce than those of any other university, and we are the only university in the nation with a Fortune 25 corporation headquartered on its campus and two graduates who serve as CEOs of Fortune 25 corporations. UMSL Business is always evolving to meet the needs of our students and to better prepare you for career success. Here is just a sampling of what is going on in the college:
- In December 2016, nearly 300 UMSL Business students graduated, joining our body of alumni, over 27,000 strong! Based on a 2015 survey by UMSL career Services, 100% of Accounting and 92.5% of all business undergraduate alumni have jobs or are pursuing a graduate degree within 6 months of graduation.
- Phase one of UMSL’s first-ever dedicated business building, Anheuser-Busch Hall, is under-roof, and external brick and stone work is moving right along. Watch for a grand opening date in August 2017. This new space will bring teaching and administration under one roof and give students easy access to advising, state of the art classrooms, and plenty of collaboration space.
- As part of the UMSL Accelerate program, we continue to expand offerings in entrepreneurship education including cross-disciplinary courses in business and social entrepreneurship; the program recently secured a grant to introduce an innovative international entrepreneurship program. And the 2016-17 year ushers in a third cohort of the UM Entrepreneurial Scholars Internship Program which offers students mentorship and funding to get their ideas off the ground.
When you choose UMSL, you will become part of St. Louis’ largest Graduate Business alumni network in the region.
